Study Buddy - English

Study Buddy is a new tool developed at the university under the leadership of Prof. Mark Shtaif and Prof. Tova Milo, with the goal of supporting learning processes. It is suitable for use by students across the entire campus.

The tool is based on artificial intelligence and allows students to ask questions about course materials that appear in the Moodle system, including presentations, PDF and Word files, and recorded lectures (in Panopto).

 

Please note:

  • In courses that integrate the tool, course materials are scanned and indexed by the system once every hour.

  • Course recordings are transcribed by the tool (for this purpose, the recordings will be exported from Panopto and deleted after transcription).

  • Lecturers who wish to disable student access to the system can do so by contacting the Study Buddy team.

  • The tool was developed at the university by the Study Buddy team and has not yet been reviewed by the Dean of Innovation in Teaching and Learning.
